I'm wondering if there's a way to remove the toggle for the New Outlook in the app itself. I know that a registry edit can hide it in the classic Outlook version, but that doesn't seem to work for the new app. I actually prefer using the new Outlook since it's much simpler for my needs. Does anyone have a solution for hiding that toggle in the New Outlook?

Have you checked out this registry edit? You can find it here: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice16.0OutlookOptionsGeneral, and change the DWORD "HideNewOutlookToggle" to 1. Just keep in mind that it will only hide the toggle in classic Outlook, not in the new one.
You might want to reach out to your IT department for help. If you're using it for personal use, though, just avoid clicking the toggle. It should be fine that way.
