I'm trying to use Paint.NET, a Windows image editing software, through Bottles, but I'm stuck on how to import my pictures into the program. Do I need to run a browser within the Bottles environment to save images there, or is there a way to access pictures from my Linux drive directly? Any tips would be appreciated!

To import files in Paint.NET, you should manually copy your images to the correct directory within Bottles. Just find the Paint.NET installation folder in the Bottles app directory and paste your images there so the program can access them. Alternatively, you might also be able to use the file manager in Bottles to import your files more easily!
If you're using Flatpak for Bottles, try installing a tool called Flatseal. It lets you give Bottles permission to access a specific folder, like your Downloads. Just move your files there, and you should be good to go! Also, if you're interested in alternatives to GIMP or Paint.NET, check out PhotoGimp or even Krita for your image editing needs!
Honestly, if you really want a smooth experience, consider sticking to Linux-compatible software. There are lots of online editors like Photopea or Pixlr that might work better for you if you’re looking to avoid all the hassle of running Windows programs.
You can check out how to access files from your Linux host in Bottles. A quick Google search for "accessing host files from a windows bottle" should give you some helpful info!
Thanks for the suggestions! I might just give those online editors a try.
