I'm currently in college, and the wifi is just terrible. I do have an ethernet connection available, but sadly, there's no ethernet jack in my room. Whenever I connect to the wifi, it's really bad. Does anyone have suggestions for better options?

You're not alone! A lot of students I know ended up getting their own wifi plans and splitting the costs with roommates. Look around for student deals; you might find something affordable that way.
It’s tough, but sometimes you just have to deal with it. Some universities have special ‘gamer’ wifi, but I heard even that has plenty of complaints. Could be worth checking if your school offers something similar!
There are a few things you can try:
- Adjust the antenna positions on your device to see if the signal improves. If you’re not already using a wifi adapter with antennas, consider investing in one.
- You might want to bring up the wifi issues with your apartment management; they may be able to help.
- Otherwise, getting a personal 5G internet plan could be a solid option too.
To help pinpoint the issue, try to clarify what 'horrible' means. Are you on a PC or laptop? If you’re on a PC, is there an antenna properly connected? Checking things like this can sometimes lead to a simple fix.
If you’re looking for a workaround, a USB Ethernet adapter could help since you don’t have an ethernet jack in your room.
