Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a frustrating WiFi situation. My desktop PC is about 8 meters away from my router, but there are concrete walls in the way, which makes my 2.4 GHz TP-LINK USB WiFi adapter struggle to pick up a decent signal. My router does support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, but running an Ethernet cable isn't an option for me right now.
I'm thinking about a few solutions like getting a WiFi repeater to boost the signal, using a USB extension cable to bring the dongle closer to the router, or maybe even a powered USB hub to enhance the dongle's performance. Has anyone else faced similar issues with concrete walls and weak WiFi? What worked for you? Or if there's a better solution I haven't considered, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

You might want to look into installing more access points. It could really help with the signal strength over those concrete barriers. Good luck!
There are a few solutions you could check out, depending on what's in your budget. Consider:
- Wired Backhaul Mesh System
- Powerline Adapters with a WiFi Extender
- Directional WiFi Antennas or Access Points
- WiFi Extender/Repeater (though I wouldn't recommend this as the best optio).
Wow, that's super helpful! I was leaning towards a repeater, but now I'll look into those other options. Thanks a lot!
Thanks, I’ll definitely consider that!
