I'm currently a DevOps engineer at an AWS advanced partner company, and I'm eager to join AWS directly to expand my impact. Can anyone share their experiences or tips on how they managed to get on board with AWS?

The easiest way is just to apply for a job directly online! Just a heads up, if you're interviewing in the UK, expect it to be a pretty long process—like 6 hours with a lunch break in between. I was offered a position last year but turned it down once I found out they want everyone back in the office five days a week. Sounds like a lot of experienced folks are leaving too.
My journey was pretty straightforward; I got a return offer after my internship. Not sure how helpful that is for you, but keep in mind that most AWS teams mainly look for Software Development Engineers (SDEs). However, there are some opportunities for dedicated SRE/DevOps roles, especially in network or platform teams under titles like Systems Engineer—they're just not prevalent in service teams.
Applying through the website is your best bet. If you can, it also helps to ask for a referral. I've seen this work wonders for people! I'm happy to help if you need one, just reach out!

Hey! I already put in an application for the Systems Engineer role in Berlin and would really appreciate your referral!
