I've got a bulky Acer PC that really heats up my room during gaming sessions. After about 30 minutes, it feels like my room is turning into a sauna! My air conditioning isn't helping much since the thermostat is in another room. In winter, I could just open a window, but with summer here, that's not an option. I'm considering getting a standalone AC unit that can vent heat out of my door because my window isn't compatible with any AC designs. What are your thoughts on this? Have you found any effective solutions or alternatives to keep the room cool? Thanks for your help!

Honestly, the best way to deal with heat is to decentralize the problem. If you can't move the heat outside with fans or an air conditioner, think about moving your PC to a different room altogether.
You might want to use a box fan to help circulate air in and out of your room. Also, check if you can make your PC components more efficient. Running AC vented out of your door may not be super effective. If your windows don’t open, look for those portable units that come with a vent hose; they should work if your window opens a bit. You could get creative here!
I could try a box fan, but I usually keep my door shut. The PC really needs to perform at its best for reasons other than just gaming, though. I was thinking about making a custom exhaust attachment for the portable AC to fit under the door, but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. My window is a casement style, so I’m not sure if those units would work.
