How Can I Keep Windows 10 After October Without Risks?

I recently set up a new gaming PC that came with Windows 11, but after experiencing a major issue with a Bluetooth driver, I ended up having to downgrade to Windows 10. It took a lot of time to reinstall everything from scratch, and I lost some important files. Now, I'm getting prompts to upgrade back to Windows 11, and while I know I can stick with Windows 10 for now, I'm worried about the potential security risks involved. What are my options for keeping my system protected while staying on Windows 10 after the October deadline?

If you want to keep receiving security updates for Windows 10, you can pay around $30 for an additional year of Extended Security Updates. This way, you’ll still get important updates even after the standard support ends. Check out Microsoft's page for more info on that.

It might seem like a hassle, but not upgrading your OS on a high-end gaming PC could put you at risk of vulnerabilities. Windows 10 will be less secure as time goes on. Plus, you should really look into that Bluetooth driver issue now rather than waiting until you're in a crunch later. Also, remember to back up your files! There are so many affordable cloud storage options out there.

True, backing up is key! I didn’t back up anything when moving to Windows 11 and it went smoothly for me. Just make sure to figure out your hardware compatibility first.
