I've recently transitioned into a role where I manage some IT operations, including load balancers, servers, ports, switches, gateways, and NTP, but I feel a bit lost. I come from a software background and don't want to get overwhelmed, especially since I have a few people under me to support. Any advice on how to learn effectively without losing my mind?

Learning IT is definitely a journey! I've been at it for over a decade, and there's still so much I don’t know. Just pace yourself, and you'll get there! Good luck!
I like to think of it this way: you eat an elephant one byte at a time! Focus on learning a little each day instead of trying to absorb everything at once.

Can we just compress the elephant before we start munching? I’ve got a Winzip license if that helps!
