I have an iPhone 14 that I used for my last job. Unfortunately, I can't access my old email or phone number to reset the Apple ID password. I want to log out of this Apple ID so I can start using the phone again instead of letting it collect dust. I've also never set a passcode or facial recognition on this device. Is there any way I can log out or reset it? Can I use Face ID as an authentication method, or is there another workaround?

If Find My iPhone is turned off, you can simply erase the phone using a computer by putting it into Recovery Mode. After erasing, you can set it up with a new Apple ID. Just remember, if Find My is on, you'll be stuck without proof of purchase and can't reset it without that info.
Unfortunately, you can't log out of your Apple ID without the credentials or proof of purchase. Trying to set up Face ID won’t help in this case. You'll need access to your old Apple account or contact Apple for recovery, especially if Find My iPhone is enabled.
Exactly! It's a tough situation if you don't have the account info. Activating Lock can really get in the way.
