I'm planning to build a gaming PC, but my current setup on PCPartPicker is already over my budget of around $1300. I'm wondering if it's better to just buy a prebuilt instead. Also, my build doesn't include a GPU because I'm not sure which one would allow me to run games at 50+ FPS at 1440p. What changes can I make to lower the cost? Here's my build link for reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kMpcLc

Check out this build I've put together for you: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BqpcLc. It comes in at around $1381, which is just above your budget, but you could downgrade the GPU to a 9070 to save some cash. If you're doing productivity work, scaling back to a 5070 for CUDA support might be a way to go too. Just remember, if you get the 9600x processor, make sure your motherboard can handle it with a BIOS update!
Imo, consider switching to 1TB storage instead of 2TB. That could save you around $70 right off the bat! Small tweaks like that can help keep you under budget.
So, are you only gaming with this PC or is there some rendering involved too? If gaming is the main focus, that helps in choosing parts that balance performance and cost. Let me know!
You could drop one of your storage drives for now and choose some parts that aren't overpriced. Plus, there are cheaper monitors that work just as well, which can help lower your overall build cost. Here's a list I created: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HgtGgn. It has a good GPU and PSU, and comes out to about $1258.60!
Im rendering things too, but yeah mainly gaming.
