I have a 25-inch monitor, but I want to make the display look like it's on a 17-inch screen. I'm okay with having black borders on the sides; I just need to shrink the image. I'm using Windows 11 and an AMD graphics card. How do I achieve this?

In your AMD settings, you can try setting your GPU scaling to either Center or Integer Scaling. After that, set your resolution to something lower than your monitor's native resolution to see how it looks! This should help create those black borders you want.

It sounds like you're looking to adjust your display settings! Some GPU drivers allow you to lower the resolution and disable stretching, which is usually possible on laptops but not as common for desktops. You might also want to check if your monitor's settings offer any scaling options. Could you clarify what you're trying to achieve and why?

If all else fails, you could consider just getting a 17-inch monitor. That would be the simplest solution if you're looking for a smaller screen size.
