I'm trying to partition my 500GB SSD on Windows 11, but I'm running into an issue. When I go to shrink the disk size in Disk Management, it only shows 682MB as the available shrink space, even though I have over 200GB free. I've already disabled hibernation, removed the page file, defragmented the drive, turned off system protection, and deleted its files. What else can I do to resolve this?

If the built-in Disk Management tool isn't working, consider using third-party disk management software. You'll need to boot from a USB stick into that software to make changes if Windows is using the files you want to modify.
You might need to defrag your SSD first, as the data could be scattered around. Try moving large files to another drive and then defragment the SSD to make more room for partitioning. By the way, what's your reason for wanting to partition it?
