I'm seriously fed up with Microsoft Edge. It feels like malware at this point! I've tried registry changes and even some third-party uninstallers, but nothing works. It just keeps reinstalling itself every time I reboot—taking up 200MB of resources even when it's not running. Why does it even need that much memory? It hogs resources and I really don't want it. Is there any way to get rid of Edge forever? I'd love to physically rip it out at this point!

Some say the European version of Windows doesn't include Edge, but that might not help you much if you're already on a different version. If you're really desperate, you could check out some third-party tools like 'ctt winutil' on GitHub; just be cautious when using them.
One suggestion is to try uninstalling it directly from the command line. Go to the Edge installation folder and run the uninstall command: `cd C:Program Files (x86)MicrosoftEdgeApplication` and then `setup.exe -uninstall -system-level -verbose-logging -force-uninstall`. Just keep in mind that uninstalling Edge can cause some instability since it’s integrated deep into Windows. Even if you manage to get rid of it, Microsoft might find a way to reinstall it later on. But if you're determined, this is worth a shot!
Unfortunately, Edge isn't just some optional application; it's part of the Windows ecosystem. Many Windows features rely on Edge's webview, which explains why it's tough to remove and consumes memory. It's designed to be there for compatibility reasons, so if you're looking to get rid of it, just remember that it could lead to some issues with other apps.
