I bought Bejeweled 3 and Peggle back in 2010, but since switching to Linux around a year later, I've struggled to get them to work. My main issue seems to be with the protect.exe file. I'm using Linux Mint and would really appreciate any help or tips to get these games running!

Hey! You should check out Steam, as Peggle Deluxe is on sale right now for just 99 cents and it runs smoothly on platforms like Steam Deck. You might also find a PopCap party pack that includes both Peggle and Bejeweled 3! That could save you the hassle of troubleshooting installation issues.

You might want to try using Heroic Game Launcher or Lutris. They can help manage your game library and often work well with Windows games on Linux.

Check out the ProtonDB website; it shows that both games have good compatibility ratings for Linux. But seriously, can you share how you bought them? If they were purchased directly from Microsoft, they might not work at all, but if it was Steam, you should be able to play them using Proton with minimal issues.

I bought them originally as digital downloads, not through Steam. Guess I need to explore the Steam route!
