How can I prevent downloads and screenshots when sharing my notes?

I'm looking to share my notes stored on a drive, but I want to make sure the person I give access to can't download or take screenshots of the content. I believe setting the drive to 'viewer only' might restrict modifications, but I have doubts it truly prevents downloads or screenshots. Is there a reliable way to secure my notes, or should I consider alternatives to Google Drive for this? I'd appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have!

If they can see your notes, they can do whatever they want—including screenshots. One alternative is to use software designed for protecting digital content, like DRM solutions, but keep in mind, even those can be bypassed. If you’re serious about your notes, consider a secure platform specifically for sharing confidential information.

Unfortunately, if you're sharing your notes on Google Drive, setting it to 'viewer only' won't stop someone from taking screenshots or downloading the files. There's really no way to completely prevent that. Just a heads-up, selling your Google account is also against their terms, so you might want to rethink your approach.

You might want to check out dico.biz. It's a cloud service that aims to make it difficult to screenshot or download files directly. It runs in a browser, which might be a good alternative if privacy is a big concern for you.
