I'm trying to set up a recording system with my capture card on Xbox, but my setup is a bit unconventional since I'm using a 2014 Chromebook. I also have a HyperX Cloud 2 headset. Is there any way I can hear the game audio while also recording both the video and audio?

To capture both game audio and your voice while using a capture card with your Xbox, you’ll want to make sure your capture card is connected properly. If you're using the capture card directly from your Xbox, make sure it's plugged into your Chromebook with the appropriate software installed that can handle capture. For audio, try connecting your headset to the Xbox, which should let you hear the game audio while recording. Also, check if your capture software has audio settings to route the game sound through your headset as well.
If the direct connection isn't working out well, consider using an external mixer. This allows you to mix your headset audio and game audio together before sending it to your capture card. Some users find this much easier to manage, especially when recording on a Chromebook. It's a little more complex, but it might solve your audio challenges.
