My laptop's graphics card has failed, according to the repairman. I really need to get some important data off it for work. Is there a way to connect the laptop to another PC to retrieve the data from the SSD? Or should I take the SSD out and connect it to another device? The laptop is a Lenovo Legion 7 from a couple of years back, running a Ryzen 9 and a now-defunct 3080.

You can actually remove the SSD from your laptop and install it in another PC if the form factor matches. If it doesn't match, you could use a USB to SSD adapter to connect it externally.
I see, thank you.
Just a heads up, if there’s any Bitlocker encryption on the drive, you’ll need the Bitlocker key to access your files.
