Hey everyone! I'm running into a bit of a unique issue with my SATA SSD. CrystalDisk shows that it's in good health, but I can't copy files from the user folder onto a USB stick because those folders appear corrupted, even though I can actually open the files just fine. There's about 150GB of data, mostly images, that I'd really like to save, but I've hit a wall. I even tried using chkdsk on the drive, but it didn't help. I'm looking for advice on data recovery here. Is there something I'm missing, any software you'd recommend, or what steps can I take?

It sounds like you might want to consider creating an image of your SSD first. This way you can try to recover data from the image instead of the actual drive, which can prevent further issues. Also, if it’s super important data, you might want to think about reaching out to a professional data recovery service to avoid any potential loss.
As a quick workaround, try opening a file and using 'Save As' to save it directly to your C drive instead of copying it all at once. It’s tedious since you have so many files, but it might end up being your best shot if other solutions aren’t working out.
Yeah, I thought about that too, but I have way too many files for that to be practical. I’m hoping there's an easier way to get everything out without so much manual work!
