Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a pickle and could really use your help. I'm trying to recover my old Instagram account, @_matilda1923, which I created back in 2019. The issue is that I lost the phone number linked to the account, so I can't receive the login code. I've been struggling for months trying everything possible—using old devices, reinstalling the app, trying to log in through a browser, and clicking on 'Forgot password?'. However, every time I try, it logs me out and I never get the chance to do the video selfie verification. Oddly enough, the video selfie option pops up on my other account, but not on this one. I even paid for Meta Verified to get in touch with actual support, but they just send me in circles back to the automated help, which isn't working at all. Has anyone managed to recover their account in a similar situation, where they had no access to their old phone number, no email access, no video selfie option available, and the recovery process just keeps crashing? Any success stories or advice would be super appreciated!

Honestly, the best route is probably to keep pushing with Meta support. It sounds frustrating, but they're the only ones who can handle these account issues. Just keep reaching out and explain your situation clearly each time. They sometimes might escalate it if they see that the automated flow isn't getting you anywhere.
I had a similar hassle with an account, and it took a few tries, but they eventually helped me out.
You should definitely exhaust all options with Meta. I read about someone who managed to get their account back after a long back-and-forth, and it just takes persistence. Good luck!
Yes, I totally agree! I read a similar success story where persistence paid off.
I’m rooting for you! Keep at it, and don’t lose hope.
If the official support route isn't working, maybe think about creating a new account. I know it’s a bummer, but sometimes starting fresh can feel liberating. Just make sure to back everything up this time!
True, but I’d hate to lose connection with everyone I've built up over the years.
It’s rough for sure, but sometimes, moving on can be the healthier choice.

Yeah, I agree. Just keep trying to contact them. Maybe share specific dates you tried certain methods, so they can see you’ve been proactive.
