How Can I Remotely Power On My PC from Anywhere?

I'm looking for a way to turn on my PC remotely, ideally through an app or website since I want to use Parsec to game on my laptop while I'm away from home. Leaving my PC running all the time doesn't seem efficient, so I want to make sure I can power it on as needed from miles away. I've come across some remote power switches, but they usually need a physical clicker and have a limited range. Does anyone know of a product that fits my needs? I'd really appreciate any suggestions or links to specific products. Thanks!

You might want to check out Wake-on-LAN (WoL). It's a feature that allows you to turn on your PC over the internet as long as it’s connected to your network. You just need to enable it in your BIOS settings and set up the WoL software on your laptop. It’s a common solution for what you’re trying to achieve!

That sounds interesting! But doesn’t it only work if the PC is connected to the same local network?
