I recently got a Mac that was managed by my school, and it has Deep Freeze installed. I'm trying to figure out how to remove it. My options seem limited because I can't reset it using Command + R—my school has restricted that. I was thinking about formatting the hard drive with a bootable USB or CD, but I'm unsure if that's the right approach. I've also found out the teacher's name and password, which gives me some access, but I want to know the best way to proceed.

Honestly, you should think twice before trying to mess with this. Since it's a school-owned device, it’s better to return it to them rather than risk getting into trouble.
Tampering with a computer that isn’t yours can lead to serious consequences, especially if there are rules or agreements regarding its use. Assuming you legitimately obtained the Mac, the school should have reset it before letting it go. If they didn't, it's best to contact them for help as there might be other restrictions in place preventing you from using it freely.
Yeah, but the school said they were sending it to other countries for recycling, so my dad grabbed it.

I hear you, but my dad got it because the school was recycling it.
