I just got a new monitor, but it came with a European plug, and I need to switch it out for a UK plug. What should I be looking for to get the right cable that fits my monitor and will work properly in my setup?

Typically, you’re looking for a C13 power cable, often called a kettle lead. If the end on your monitor is the clover leaf type, just get a UK plug that matches the same connector.
Is that the one with the three pins in a wide triangle?
Make sure the cable you get matches the amperage required for the monitor. You should be able to walk into any local store and say, "I need a new power cable for my monitor with a UK plug!"
I guess the details about the wall side don’t matter as much? Just focus on the monitor end, right?
You’ll want a standard 3-pin UK plug. Any decent electronics store should have them, and they’ll usually know exactly what you need if you mention it's for a monitor.
You could also just cut off the EU plug and wire a UK plug directly. It's pretty straightforward, just look for a guide online!
I know that feel! Back in the day, every gadget came with a bare wire just waiting for you to plug it in. It was a rite of passage!
Why not just grab an adapter? It's a quick fix if you're in a pinch!
Adapters might be tricky. Seems like you usually find them going from UK to EU, not the other way.
I had a Nespresso from Spain, and I found an adapter on Amazon that included a fuse—might be worth checking out!

That sounds about right! Just make sure the connector fits snugly before you plug it in.
