How can I reset my iPhone if it won’t turn on?

My iPhone has been malfunctioning for a while, and I recently got a new one. However, I'm having trouble resetting my old iPhone through the 'Find My' app. It has been stuck on 'pending' for over a week, and now it won't turn on at all; it just keeps dying immediately. Is there any way to reset it so I can hand it over to someone else?

It sounds like your iPhone might have a dead battery since it keeps powering off. Once you sort out the battery issue, you can wait for the 'pending' status to clear up, and then you should be able to reset it without too much hassle.

If the phone isn't turning on at all, you might need to look into replacing the battery first. After that, you should be able to reset it through the 'Find My' feature if that pending message resolves.
