I'm trying to figure out if I can access the photos on my phone that has a swollen battery using my MacBook. Is it possible to transfer those photos, and can I delete them afterwards? Also, I'm wondering if there's a chance the phone might recharge if I connect it to a charger, since it kept rebooting earlier and I couldn't get it to turn on. Any advice would be appreciated!

The ability to access your photos really depends on the phone model. Generally, if it doesn't power on at all due to the swollen battery, your best bet would be to replace that battery first. If you're just trying to delete the images, you're probably looking for the wrong tools!
Yes, you can try using the iTunes app on your MacBook to access it, but if the phone isn’t turning on, this might not work.
It's really risky to keep using a phone with a swollen battery. I'd recommend taking it to an Apple store. You could end up with some serious issues, including losing your data or getting hurt if it bursts.
Taking it to a repair shop is smart. For Androids, replacing the battery usually costs around $200, and it’s a safer option than trying to coax it back to life if it's stranded.

It's an iPhone 13, but I really want to get the photos off before doing anything else.
