How can I run non-Steam .exe files on Endeavor OS?

I'm trying to figure out how to run non-Steam .exe files on Endeavor OS. Should I just add them as non-Steam games in Steam to use Proton, or is there a risk of getting banned if they find out I've been using pirated games? I'd also like some advice on using Bottles or Lutris for this. Any tips?

I like using the Faugus launcher—it's worked perfectly for me. You could also try the Heroic Game Launcher if that suits your needs better!

Steam really doesn’t mind when it comes to this kind of stuff, so don’t worry too much about getting banned. I've had decent success using Bottles for running those non-Steam .exe files.

Thanks for the reassurance! I'll go ahead and try using Bottles then.

You can also add the .exe file as a non-Steam game in Steam, and that should allow you to run it through Proton without issues!

I personally use Heroic and Lutris, and they both do a great job depending on the games you’re trying to play. Definitely worth a shot!
