How Can I Score an RTX 5070 Ti at MSRP?

I'm in the process of building a new PC and have a few parts sorted out: Ryzen 7 9700X, B650 motherboard (considering an upgrade to an x670e for better performance, but it's pricier), and 32GB of DDR5 6000MHz RAM. I'm leaning towards either the RX 9700 XT for $699 at Micro Center or I really want to snag an RTX 5070 Ti, which I've seen starting at $834. My big question is, how can I get my hands on an RTX 5070 Ti at MSRP? I'm aware there are occasional restocks, and I'm prepared to jump on it if it means saving about $140. What tips do you have for catching restocks, and when's the best time to check, specifically for places like Best Buy or Newegg? I'm based in Texas.

Check in on r/buildapcsales for deals on GPUs. Also, what's your overall budget for the PC? If you're considering the x670e for future upgrades, that makes sense, but I wonder if a 7600X3D or 7800X3D would give you better gaming performance for now. Just curious!

I'm aiming for the x670e mainly for future-proofing with PCIe Gen 5 and upgradability. I'm building for gaming plus animation projects since I'm a student, so I need something reliable but cost-effective. Honestly, I want to keep my spending around $1600-$1700 while still getting solid performance!

Try using a product tracking service like Trackalacka or Hotstock, as they can notify you when the cards come in stock. I got my 9800X3D using Hotstock, and Trackalacka was key for snagging my 5070 Ti. I set up push notifications on my phone too, which helps me act fast when stock is available!

I second that! Setting up notifications is super helpful. I got my card thanks to those tracking apps, and it's worth the effort to grab it right when it drops.
