I'm dealing with a set of drives that are OPAL encrypted, and I'm facing a problem—when I try to use KillDisk, it stops working almost instantly. Is there a reliable method to completely erase these drives?

Check out the GitHub page for sedutil; they have instructions for reverting the security on OPAL encrypted drives. It might help you manage the encryption.
I'm stuck too; I can't get past the admin password requirement.
I gave it a shot, but I can't access the boot menu because of the disk's security. It asks for a password, and when I tried using it in an external dock, it didn't recognize the drive as OPAL.
