A few weeks back, I transferred all my files from my hard drive to an SSD, and I noticed some performance improvements. However, I've recently discovered that my computer is still booting from the hard drive instead of the SSD, which is causing it to slow down again. I'm looking for a way to properly set my computer to run from the SSD and safely wipe the hard drive afterward. Any advice on how to do this?

Just copying files isn't enough; you'll need to clone the HDD to the SSD. If that sounds complicated, consider finding someone local who can help—maybe they'll do it for some food or beer!
What I'd suggest is to copy everything to the SSD first, but hold off on wiping your old drive right away. Try unplugging the hard drive first and see if your computer runs smoothly with just the SSD. If it does, then go for the wipe.
You can use a cloning tool to transfer everything from your hard drive to the SSD and then adjust the boot order in BIOS. While that works, I recommend doing a fresh install of Windows on the SSD using a bootable flash drive; it can save you some headaches in the long run.
There are some great free tools out there to help you migrate Windows to your SSD. It's super straightforward! Once you've got everything over, you can go ahead and wipe your old drive to free up space.
I've been using Clonezilla for years to clone drives, and it's never failed me. Just clone your HDD to the SSD, remove the old drive, and check if the SSD works fine. I usually put my old drives in a USB case for easy formatting later on.
Clonezilla really is the best option for this!
