How Can I Stop This Annoying Image Popup When Using Voice Search?

I initially shared this issue in another forum but was redirected here by a moderator. I'm really struggling with this annoying image that pops up every time I attempt to use Google voice search by holding down my home button. The only way I've figured out how to get rid of it is by going into typing mode and closing it out, which isn't ideal for me as I often feel unwell and staring at my screen can be painful. This popup messes with my Google searches, and despite trying to find solutions online, I keep landing on irrelevant instructions, particularly for computers. Reaching out to support hasn't worked either, and I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I'll attach a visual of the issue in a reply!

Sounds like the Gemini update might be the culprit. You can check the settings within the Gemini app to see if there are options to modify this behavior. Also, it might help to go through the comments in threads like [this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/S24Ultra/comments/1ah6t9r/how_to_set_long_press_home_button_to_open_google/) for additional tips.

I tried some fixes from there and even switched assistants, but no luck. Thanks for trying to help!

You might want to switch to Google Chrome instead and use the microphone button on the keyboard for voice input. You could also try changing the home button settings to trigger Google Assistant instead.

Are you using iOS or Android? If you're on Safari, there's a 'hide distracting' feature that can remove those kinds of popups automatically.

Have you tried just saying 'Ok, Google' for voice search? It could save you some hassle from the popup!

Exactly! Who would want the wiretap mode on intentionally, though?
