How Can I Stop Windows from Reinstalling After Switching to Linux?

I've recently replaced Windows with a Linux distribution, but it seems like Windows is trying to reinstall itself. I deleted the hidden partitions but the problem persists. Can anyone help me understand what might be happening and how to properly get rid of Windows for good?

It sounds like you're having a pretty frustrating experience! One thing you might want to check is your boot order in the BIOS. Ensure that the boot drive is set to your Linux installation and not any leftover Windows partitions. If your system is still trying to boot into Windows, it could be set as the primary option. Try pressing your boot selector key while starting up to choose your Linux drive manually, or check your BIOS settings to make it permanent.

That's a good point! I've had similar issues where the firmware seemed to default back to Windows, no matter what I set in the boot order. I ended up having to select Linux each time — it's a bit annoying.
