Hey everyone! I'm trying to integrate my school's public Outlook calendar into Proton Calendar. My school provided me with a link that ends with 'calendar.html'. I thought it might work if I change the end to 'calendar.ics', so it looks like 'webcal://outlook.office365.com/calendar/published/[email protected]/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/calendar.ics'. Unfortunately, when I try to use the .ics link, it just takes me to the Outlook calendar homepage instead. I'd normally ask the IT department for help, but I've had issues in the past regarding the use of Proton VPN while at school, as they have strict monitoring and filtering in place. If anyone has tips or has gone through something similar, I'd love to hear any advice! Thanks!

On a different note, consider trying to export the calendar from Outlook itself if you have access. If you can get an actual .ics file, you can upload that to Proton directly. It might bypass some of the redirect issues you're having. Worth a shot!
It sounds like a tricky situation! Unfortunately, many schools have tight controls over their IT environments, and that makes accessing external calendars tougher. The change from '.html' to '.ics' often doesn't work if the link isn't set up for it, which seems to be your case here. Have you tried reaching out to your school’s IT using a different approach, maybe explaining that this is just about syncing calendars? Sometimes they might not view it as a privacy issue, but rather a simple request for assistance. Good luck!
Plus, it could help to send them a support ticket instead of stopping by. That might seem less confrontational.

Yeah, I agree! It might help to frame it as a reason to be organized rather than a tech issue. They usually want to support students with their studies.
