How Can I Tell if My SSD is in the Heatsink Slot?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy another SSD for my PC, specifically the Kioxia Exceria G2, but I'm a bit worried about heating issues that some people have mentioned. I have an Asus TUF B550M Plus motherboard, and there's only one M.2 slot that has a heatsink. Currently, I have a Samsung 970 EVO installed, but I'm not sure if it's in the slot with the heatsink or not. I've checked online for images, but I'm still a bit lost when it comes to figuring this out physically. I'd love your help with my attached photos to determine which slot my SSD is in. If it's not in the heatsink slot, I can save some cash by not buying a heatsink for the Exceria G2. On the other hand, if it is in that slot, I should consider getting a different SSD or potentially a heatsink for better performance. I'd also love any recommendations for 1TB or 2TB SSDs. Thanks in advance!

From your photo, it looks like there’s actually no SSD in the top M.2 slot, so your Samsung drive should be in the second slot, which has the heatsink. If you’re worried about temperatures when adding an SSD, you might want to look into getting a third-party M.2 heatsink as a solution!

Thanks for the clarification! Could you suggest any specific heatsinks that ship to Turkey from Amazon? I’d really appreciate some guidance since I’m not sure what to look for.
