I'm looking for a way to turn off the screen of my phone while keeping all processes running in the background. Pressing the power button puts my device to sleep and locks it, which is not what I want. I tried using an app that was really confusing, and it didn't seem to do what I needed. Specifically, I'm often downloading large games, and when I turn off the screen, the downloads stop and eventually fail. I want to save battery life while these large files continue downloading in the background, but I'm not sure how to achieve this. Can anyone help?

It sounds like you're specifically looking to keep those downloads active. Just a heads-up, most phones continue to download even if the screen is off, but it depends on your device's settings. Maybe try adjusting the screen brightness all the way down, and see if that keeps the download going while conserving battery.
What model is your phone? On many devices, including Samsung, downloads should keep running in the background even with the screen off. If you let me know the make and model, I might be able to point you to specific settings that can help!

I’ve got a Samsung Galaxy. I hope that helps!
