I'm looking to boost my FPS in Counter-Strike 2 and need advice on the best parts to upgrade. My current setup includes an ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING motherboard, an RTX 4070 Ti graphics card, a Ryzen 5 3600 processor, and 32 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2666 MHz. Right now, I'm getting around 100-150 FPS, but my goal is to hit 300+ FPS. I've thought about switching platforms to an i5-14600K, but I'm working with a limited budget. Considering I'm already on AM4, I'm also eyeing drop-in upgrades like the Ryzen 7 5800X or 5700X. I'm unsure if these CPU upgrades are worth it or if I should wait and move to a newer platform with DDR5 in the next year or two.

Your RAM speed seems like it could be limiting your FPS, too. If you're able to upgrade to faster RAM like 3200 MHz, it could give you a slight advantage. Also, are you playing at 1080p? That's where I get around 250-270 FPS on my 5-year-old rig at low settings!
It sounds like your CPU might be bottlenecking your performance! Upgrading to a better processor could really help you reach your FPS goals. A Ryzen 7 5800X could make a big difference, especially when paired with your RTX 4070 Ti.
I've been able to hit over 400 FPS with my RTX 3070 and Ryzen 9 7900X by mostly playing on low settings. While a top-tier AM4 CPU can help, my experience suggests that moving to a newer platform might be needed for the best performance. But if you're looking for a quick fix, the 5700X3D is a solid choice if you can find it on sale!
What settings are you using? I have an i7 9700K with a GTX 1070, and I manage around 200 FPS on pretty low settings at 1440x1080. If you're not already on low settings, that could help a lot!
