How Can I Use My Tablet to Stream Movies on a Monitor for My Neighbor?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on how to set up a movie-watching experience for my elderly neighbor. I live in a wheelchair-accessible home, and the woman next door, who's 88 and feels lonely, loves watching period dramas. She has a DVD player, but I was thinking that if she visits my place, I could stream movies for her through my tablet. The problem is, my tablet (a Samsung S6) is older and only has one USB port, which complicates charging while connecting to an HDMI monitor. I've looked into Bluetooth transmitters and splitters, but I haven't found anything that seems suitable. How can I set things up so we can enjoy watching films together on a larger screen? Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

You might want to consider getting a TV stick, like a Roku or Amazon Fire Stick. They have the Netflix app, so you can connect it to her TV using your Wi-Fi. Since she's already familiar with switching between her TV and DVD player, this shouldn't be too hard for her to figure out.

I can't go to her house because of my wheelchair, and she doesn't have an accessible space for me.

Bluetooth isn’t really the way to go for streaming video; it just doesn’t have the bandwidth for that. Wi-Fi is your best option!
