I recently subscribed to AppleTV+ and wanted to share it with my wife, but there's a hitch. She doesn't own any Apple devices at all. When she tried logging in, it seems she had set up an AppleID long ago, and her usual login details worked. However, it's asking for two-factor authentication, and the numbers it showed her don't match any of her known phone numbers – she has had her current number for decades. Unfortunately, since she doesn't have any Apple devices, she can't verify or change these numbers, and it looks like her Android number won't be accepted either. Is there a way for her to access the AppleTV account, or are we stuck?

Also, make sure you're asking in the right forum next time! But seriously, have you tried checking their support site? You might find some useful info there too.
It might be easiest for her to just create a new AppleID. Since she can’t access her old one without the right phone number, a fresh start could solve the problem quickly. Just keep in mind that she’ll need a new email address for this since it's tied to the old ID.
Creating a new ID sounds workable, but it could be a hassle if she wants to access any old purchases or content.
Why not get in touch with Apple Support? They should have a process for situations like this where a user can’t access their phone number. They might allow verification through her email or another method.
Yeah, I guess I’ll have to dig around there. Thanks for the tip!
