I'm working with a lot of elderly customers who aren't very tech-savvy, and I'm trying to find effective ways to protect their computers from scammers. I've done a few things like removing administrative permissions, changing settings to limit app installations to just those from the Microsoft Store, uninstalling remote support apps, and even disabling common access features that scammers often exploit. However, I'm still seeing signs of unwanted remote access software like LogMeIn and Ultraviewer showing up. I'm at a loss for what else to do, like whether blocking ports for well-known remote access tools would help. Also, I want to make sure Chrome's remote access feature is turned off permanently on all of their computers. If anyone has better strategies to safeguard against these threats, especially actions that could prevent malicious software from being installed or browser features from being exploited, I'd really appreciate your input. It's frustrating to see these vulnerable individuals taken advantage of when they truly need support.
