There's a lot of buzz about creating an 'AI strategy,' but we can't afford to halt everything while we make this happen. I'm curious about how to roll out AI initiatives in a phased and strategic manner that actually provides value without overwhelming our teams or interrupting business as usual. Are there specific frameworks or approaches for managing this transition effectively?

Technically, you should have had some control over how AI was being used initially, but if it turned into a bit of chaos, now's the time to create a strategy and policies to get it under control. That's going to be where you face the most challenges.

Pretty much what you'd do anywhere else! Start with a small pilot group to work with directly, adjust your approach based on their feedback, and then expand to bigger groups once everyone is satisfied. Get all stakeholders on board and it'll be a smoother process.

Absolutely, my team and I will need to adapt based on that feedback to make it successful!

It's not really different from how you'd approach any other initiative. First, identify a specific use case and the solution you want to implement. Then, run a pilot program and gather feedback to refine it. Many teams struggle because they don't have a clear use case or solution defined, so make sure you know what value you're aiming to achieve before trying to measure it.

I totally get that! I'll definitely take this lesson to heart and make sure I don't let it get out of hand next time. Figuring out how to regain control is definitely the tough part.
