Hey everyone! Our marketing team often sends out customer surveys using SurveyMonkey, but we've run into some issues with email delivery. The emails come from a SurveyMonkey domain, but the display name is set to one of our internal addresses. After tightening our Office 365 security settings, we've noticed that these emails are being flagged for impersonation, leading to many ending up in customers' junk or spam folders. I'm looking for advice on how to improve this situation. One option I considered is sending the surveys via our Outlook client using individual links for a smaller recipient batch. Would sending about 100 emails at a time help avoid spam filters? Alternatively, I've also heard about using a third-party email tool like smtp2go, which might handle bulk sending better. Any thoughts on the best route to take? Also, would upgrading to SurveyMonkey's Enterprise version give us better tools like SPF record configuration? I'm all ears for your suggestions!

You might want to consider setting a reply-to address instead of having that display name conflict. It could help reduce the impersonation flags since Office 365 might be less sensitive to that. Just a thought!
Using a subdomain for your sender address might also help. Make sure to configure it with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC properly, so that your emails are taken seriously by recipient servers. It's key for better deliverability!
Definitely set up SPF and DKIM records! They are crucial for improving email delivery when using external services like SurveyMonkey. This way, you authorize specific IPs to send emails as your domain, which helps with the impersonation issue you're facing.
You can actually manage SPF records through your domain's DNS settings, not just through SurveyMonkey. Properly configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC will help maintain your domain's reputation and ensure your emails don't get flagged as spam. Just add the necessary SMTP servers to your records.
Just to update you all! When I mentioned SPF and DMARC in my original post, I was referring to the enterprise features in SurveyMonkey. However, we are not on that plan yet, which complicates things a bit since we can't generate those records. Currently, we're just using a SurveyMonkey email address which isn't ideal. Any advice on workarounds?

Yeah, that makes sense! But I believe the display name and reply-to are controlled through SurveyMonkey's settings, which might complicate things. Just trying to keep communications honest, you know?
