I recently joined the AWS Partner Network (APN) with my VoIP solutions company and paid the annual subscription fee of $2,500. We've linked our AWS account to the APN account, but now I'm trying to figure out how to leverage this partnership effectively. While I understand that the goal of the APN is to help partners accelerate sales in AWS, I'm looking for more specific direction. What do companies usually do after joining the APN? What initial steps should we take to get value out of it? Are there specific AWS contacts we should be in touch with, such as Partner Managers? Should we reach out to AWS Support for help, or is there another route? Any insights or experiences from those who've started in the APN would be incredibly helpful!

Congrats on joining the APN! I can totally relate to how confusing this can feel at first. First things first, check which path suits your business; for a VoIP company, the software path may be a good fit. This often means building your solution on AWS and distributing it via the AWS Marketplace as either an AMI or SaaS. You should prioritize getting access to funding programs like POC, MDF, and others, which can really help you out. Don't forget to dive into the official docs on Partner Central for more details.
Definitely reach out to your AWS account team. They can help guide you through the APN process. If you’re unsure who to contact, just submit a support ticket to request them. By the way, don’t hesitate to push for introductions; sometimes they overlook new partners in the busy hustle of things.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll make sure to reach out to them.
