Hey everyone! I'm a 20-year-old guy from India, and I'm really concerned because my girlfriend's parents claim they can see everything we talk about. They mentioned details from our conversations on Whatsapp and even a private photo that only we know about. I'm trying to figure out how they could have access to my phone and laptop. Is it possible they used some sort of parental control or spyware? Also, what are some safe ways for us to communicate without being monitored? Any suggestions?

Another option is just to reset your phones completely. This will help eliminate any unwanted access you might have, just to be safe.
If they've deleted messages from their chat, they might still be able to access them through backups or some monitoring software.
I think they might be using a parental control app. Those can allow them to mirror your screen and even control your camera. It's worth checking if they have access to a specific app that tracks your messages.
You could also consider using other apps for communication, like Instagram or Signal, which are usually more secure than WhatsApp.
