How Did You Snag a Ryzen 7 9800X3D?

I'm on the hunt for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D to complete my PC build. I've set up stock alert apps and logged into all the big retailers like B&H, Best Buy, Amazon, New Egg, and even AMD, but I still haven't managed to grab one in time. Am I just too slow at this? Are there better strategies to secure one? I'm willing to pay above MSRP but not by too much. I'm also hesitant about buying from random sellers on Amazon with only a few reviews unless you have some success stories to share. Any tips on how to get a Ryzen 7 9800X3D would be awesome!

I found mine on Newegg a couple months back when it was in stock for a few hours—definitely worth checking back frequently! It's weird that it's not available steadily right now, though.

Same here! I popped onto Newegg one day and it was there, so I grabbed it immediately. The 9950X3D has been a real challenge for me to find.

In my country, I had to pay about $130 over MSRP for my 9800X3D, which was frustrating. Just a heads up that prices can vary greatly depending on where you buy it from.

Don’t sleep on Amazon either; they had them up for sale pretty regularly lately. Just watch out for the price jumps after the 9950X3D dropped! I snagged one just before they disappeared.

I actually managed to catch one the day of launch on Amazon because I was refreshing like a hawk. Sometimes timing really is everything!

Good luck! I've seen them pop up on Newegg quite regularly, so you might just be having some bad luck—keep checking!

Check out MSI; they sell the chip with a motherboard. I saw a deal on their site for a bundle that might save you some hassle.

I lucked out at Best Buy three weeks ago. The stock seems to come in waves, so keep an eye on it. Don't lose hope just yet!

If you have a Micro Center near you, they're pretty reliable for stocking these. If you don't, I could try to help you get one, but they do come in erratically.

I do live near Houston! I asked an employee last month, and he mentioned they come in irregularly.

I stumbled upon one in a local store, not even looking for it at the time. Sometimes, just walking into places can pay off!
