I'm considering switching from NVIDIA to AMD for my GPU and am curious about how well AMD GPUs are holding up in VR games currently. Are they still a good option?

It really depends on the specific games you're interested in, but generally speaking, AMD GPUs have been performing adequately in most VR titles. Many VR games aren't excessively demanding, so you should be fine for casual gaming.
I have an AMD 9070 paired with a PSVR2, and it's mostly been smooth sailing. The downside is that AMD has had some cuts in their VR division, so certain advanced features like modded foveated eye tracking aren't available. If you aren't dealing with eye tracking, you should have no issues!
Just to clarify, eye tracking is a feature tied to the PS5 itself, so it won't work on any GPU regardless of the brand.
