How do I access the BIOS on an old Asus Eee PC to install Linux?

Hey everyone, I need some help here. I'm trying to install Linux on my friend's old Asus Eee PC 1215n, which currently has Windows 10. I've copied Mint XFCE onto a USB stick and I'm all set to go, but I'm stuck at the BIOS screen. I've been pressing Delete, F2, and Tab as soon as I turn it on, but nothing seems to work—the laptop just boots straight into Windows. This computer is quite dated, and I haven't found much help online about this issue. Anyone got any tips or tricks on how to access the BIOS? Thanks!

Have you considered trying F11? It might work for you!

Thanks for the suggestion, but that didn’t do the trick for me.

To access the BIOS, try tapping F2 repeatedly right after you power it on. If that doesn't work, give the Esc key a shot for the boot menu.

Got it, thanks! I must not have been hitting F2 quickly enough before.

From what I’ve seen online, F2 is the key you need for that laptop. Just keep hammering it when you turn it on to increase your chances of getting in.
