I'm trying to change the IP and Gateway settings on my Supermicro IPMI from the static IP 192.168.1.200 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.1 to new values: 10.1.5.11 and 10.1.5.1. However, I'm running into an error message saying `Class E is not supported`. I'm confused because I thought Class E starts at 240.0.0.0 and goes up to 255.255.255.255. It feels like there's a bug since it seems to think the subnet is the IP. Any suggestions?

Have you tried updating the BMC firmware? That might help clear up the issue. If that doesn’t work, consider doing a factory reset of the BMC and then set the IP address directly from the BIOS. Also, let me know if you're configuring this through the web GUI or while being physically in front of the server with an IP KVM.
You might want to change your subnet mask to 255.255.252.0. That might resolve the Class E error you're seeing.
