I'm having issues with my GPU overheating—it gets to about 100 Celsius during benchmarks, and I can only detect one of the two fans on it. I've cleaned out the GPU, and it doesn't seem to have much dust. However, I'm concerned that the fan might be broken, especially since with my case design, I can't see if they're running properly. The fans are directed downwards towards the bottom of the case, and I can only catch a glimpse of one through the bottom. Does anyone have suggestions on how to check if both fans are functioning? Also, is it normal for fans to be oriented this way?

First off, how old is that GPU? It might just need a re-paste instead of a fan issue. It's common for aging GPUs to struggle with overheating. Also, have you checked the airflow in your chassis? It could be really limited, which wouldn't help with cooling at all.
If you can, just power up the system without closing the case. Your fans should kick into high gear if they're working properly. Just make sure the fans are plugged in; if they're wired to Molex, they might run at a constant speed.
You might want to look into the overall airflow within your case. Having fans installed facing downwards can restrict airflow. If it's possible to reorient them for better intake or exhaust, that could help with the GPU temperature.
