I think my PC just got hacked. A friend mentioned that I might have an open port, and it seems like they used an SQL exploit to install something called XWorm on my computer. I'm not really sure what an open port is or how to close it. The only thing I know is that I have a Mercusys Halo H30G router. Can someone explain what I need to do?

XWorm often comes from downloading shady mods or files, especially in games like Minecraft. It’s likely you accidentally ran some malware rather than being hacked through a port. I’d suggest running a good antivirus scan and checking your firewall settings. You might want to ditch that friend’s tech advice too; sounds like they're not too informed.
It sounds like your friend might be mixing things up a bit. If they think an attack came through an open port and mentioned SQL, they need to clarify what they mean. Unless you're running some SQL database that allows remote connections (which most people don't), it doesn't really add up. You should check your PC for malware, but I wouldn’t stress too much about open ports just yet.
Yeah, I haven't downloaded anything from them lately, just some old stuff like five months ago. I did flash my BIOS and reinstall Windows from a USB then, hoping it helped.
