How do I completely wipe my phone before returning it?

I recently bought a smartphone but I've decided I don't like it and want to return it within the 14-day return policy. I've downloaded apps and transferred data to the device, and I heard that this could impact the refund amount by at least 20%. I'm looking for help on how to completely remove or hide all traces of my transferred data and downloaded apps before sending it back. If anyone has any tips, I'd really appreciate it!

It sounds like the best way to go about this is to perform a factory reset on your phone. That should wipe all your data and apps, which is usually enough for most returns. Just make sure to back up anything important first! Good luck!

I actually heard from someone that even a factory reset might not be enough for them. They do a thorough investigation of the phone. Just be aware of that!
