My little brother was updating his PC when he unexpectedly turned it off during the update. Now, he can't access Windows at all, and I think it might be corrupted. I've been trying to help using my own PC, but it seems tricky. I've installed a Windows ISO on an external SSD and tried booting it on his machine, but I end up in an MSI BIOS boot loop. When I put my SSD back into his PC, it boots Windows fine, and I can see his hard drive too. I've managed to install Windows on his hard drive, but if I take out my SSD, the PC just blue screens and reverts back to that boot loop. I'm feeling a bit lost here and would appreciate any guidance. Let me know if you need more details!

You might want to create a Windows recovery USB using another computer. Download the ISO and use a program like Rufus to flash it onto a USB drive. After that, you can boot from the USB in BIOS and try to run a repair installation. Here's the link to get the Windows ISO: [Windows 11 Download](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11).
Can this process work with an empty SSD, or is it specifically for USB drives?
