Hey everyone, I just picked up a new WD Black SSD and I'm looking for some guidance on how to install it. Specifically, I'd like to know the best method to transfer all my files from my old SSD while making sure everything remains intact. Any advice would be appreciated!

Using an external USB-C enclosure can make the cloning process easier. Just be sure to get one with a heatsink to prevent throttling. After cloning, swapping the drives is usually just a matter of taking the old one out and putting the new one in.
One straightforward way to handle this is to clone your old drive to the new one. Just search for cloning software online, many people recommend Macrium Reflect Free. This method copies everything directly, so you won't lose any files.
To help out, can you tell us what your old drive is? Are you replacing it or just adding more storage? Knowing this can help us provide better suggestions for your setup.
Also, keep in mind that Samsung has a software tool for cloning drives if you ever decide to go that route. It's pretty user-friendly!
My old drive is a WD Blue SSD, and I'm actually replacing it with the new one. I mainly use it for gaming.
